A former loanee and goal scorer has agreed terms with Whitstable after leaving Ashford United and having also featured for Whitehawk at Step 3 earlier this season. Ronald Sithole now signs for the Oysters as Jamie continues to build his new-look squad. He first played for Whitstable on a work experience loan from Gillingham during the 2022-23 season, making five appearances and scoring in the Christmas fixture against Canterbury City.
Manager Jamie Coyle said: “Ronald is someone that we tracked when he left Whitehawk earlier this year and having spoken to Danny at Ashford regarding players, he was made available so we made our move. He fits what we are trying to build here. If you look at the blend of the group, we have some excellent senior players both on and off the pitch, with some longer-term signings with the young players and Ronald fits that mould. We have been looking for more fire power, but had to add the right players and Ronald can play in a number of positions in the front areas of the pitch and very much suits our ethos and style of play. Hopefully, we can aid his progress as a player whilst he helps us as a club achieve our short and long term goals.”
