On Saturday, we learned that Colin Boswell had sadly passed away following a short illness. Colin will be widely mourned by the Kent football family, having done so much for the sport in the county over many years. He was the president of the Kent FA and had supported numerous leagues and member clubs in a variety of roles. In 1981, he founded the Kent Youth League with a small number of clubs and was its chief executive as it grew and flourished until standing down in 2013. The tributes on the @KentYouthLeague Twitter illustrate the wonderful contribution he made.

He was a great friend to Whitstable Town Football Club and always available to offer advice and support. Colin and his wife Sheila were frequent and welcome visitors to the Belmont Ground and he will always be remembered.
