We witnessed a fantastic display of character under challenging conditions on an excellent pitch. Credit must go to the groundsman; I haven't seen a pitch play that well at this level, especially considering the rain.

In the second half, every player stepped up and turned the game around. VCD performed better than us in the first half, which explains their position in the league table. Unfortunately, we struggled to contend with them initially, despite our preparations throughout the week. However, in the second half, we made some adjustments, and the players executed our game plan brilliantly. Once again, the gaffer demonstrated his experience, showing outstanding leadership.

While it would be easy to name Coyle as the man of the match, I genuinely believe Fin Cotton deserves that honour for his exceptional performance in the second half. Special mention goes to Veron for making his debut as well. I want to recognize all the players for their efforts, especially with Jake McIntyre and Harvey suspended, and Jayden Boulton cup-tied. Will Thomas, who missed a week of training due to injury, stepped in admirably (a shout out to our physio team for their hard work). After a tough seven days, this much-needed win allows us to progress to the next round.
