We are all delighted with the news of Alex Kokoshi’s first professional contract, at Colchester United. Whitstable Academy scholar Alex spent the 2022-23 season playing in the Kent Youth League for our u18 Premier side and in the Kent County Football League or our young Reserves team where he made 14 appearances, scoring 5 goals. Alex also made one substitute appearance for our first team.

Alex had joined the Whitstable Town Academy at the start of last season, having previously been in the Football Futures coaching programme from a younger age.

It has always been abundantly clear that Alex possesses incredible talent and we are pleased Whitstable Town has been able to play a small part in his development. We wish him every success in his future career. #UpTheOysters#RedArmy
