Due to injuries and other commitments, as well as the tournament being for over 60s, we took a much changed side to represent Whitstable Town FC in the annual Maidstone walking football tournament.

We had three games, drawing 1-1 and 0-0 before losing 1-0 to Woodnesborough.
As we had a better goal difference than most teams coming third in their groups, we found ourselves in a penalty shoot out against a team from Tonbridge. The first penalty was saved by our keeper to give us hope. However, successive misses and saves from both teams set up a dramatic finish, which we unfortunately lost with our final penalty being saved.

We held our heads up and this week I give "player of the match" to the whole team and to Brian who managed the side as a stand in for this tournament.
