Andy Drury is the new Whitstable Town manager

Following the departure of Keith McMahon, the club has appointed Andy Drury as first team manager with immediate effect.

Andy is locally based and has most recently been playing for Folkestone Invicta, but earlier this season was a player and assistant manager at Cray Wanderers. He has enjoyed a long and successful career in football that began at Sittingbourne. The midfielder went on to play for Gravesend & Northfleet, Lewes, Stevenage Borough, then Luton Town. He joined Ipswich Town in 2011, making over 60 appearances. After spells at Crawley Town and Luton again, he then moved back to non-league football with Eastleigh, Ebbsfleet United and Havant & Waterlooville, before eventually returning to Sittingbourne, for whom he made his 100th appearance against Whitstable in September 2020.

A message from Andy:
“I’m delighted to be appointed manager of Whitstable Town FC. It is a great club with great fans. I have watched a few games this season and know there are some good players at the club, so I look forward to working with them. The next few weeks will be tough, so we need everyone to stick together as we try to turn things around. Please get behind us and I will do my best to bring some success to the club.”

We welcome Andy to the club and wish him well in his new role.
